Mathura is about 2800 km from Cochin, so most travellers go by train or by air via Delhi rather than driving. Fly to Delhi (IGI) or take a train to Mathura Junction and we pick you up from there.
One full day covers the main Mathura and Vrindavan temples. Two to three days is more relaxed and adds Gokul, Barsana, Nandgaon and Govardhan. Take 4 to 5 days if you want Agra, Ayodhya or Haridwar in the same trip. Because Cochin is far from Mathura, count the travel days too and choose at least 3 days on the ground.
October to March is the most comfortable for sightseeing. Janmashtami, Holi and Radhashtami are the biggest festivals and the most special, but temples are very crowded and hotels fill early, so book 1 to 2 months ahead. Summer afternoons are very hot.
